What are skin tags?
A skin tag is a small piece of skin that hangs like a tag
from a small, narrow stalk. Known as acrochordon or cutaneous
papilloma and considered a benign skin growth, they occur in
similar places like the neck, underarms, eyelids, and under the
breasts. Skin Tags can appear in all shapes and sizes but they
are typically smooth or slightly shriveled like a raisin. New
skin tags can be as tiny as the tip of a pin, but some skin tags
can grow as large as a grape.
There is no real known cause for skin tags, but a few things
are known: Irritation from skin rubbing together and chaffing
with clothing or other materials, resistance to insulin
(diabetes) and the Human Papilloma Virus (viral warts).
Skin tags are not
an uncommon condition, although they occur much more frequently
during and after middle age and in women, men do get them as
well. They can be the color of surrounding skin, or slightly
darker and can be anywhere from 1mm to 5mm in size.
Skin tags are a benign and harmless, but most people who
suffer from them find them very unsightly. Most people don't
know that you can treat skin tags naturally with products such
as DermaTend™ an all natural skin tag remover that safely
removes skin tags at home.
Where do skin tags appear on the body?
Skin tags can show up anywhere on the body, but there are
definite favorite places. The eyelids, neck, armpits, upper
chest (particularly under the female breasts due to rubbing of
bras), and groin folds.
Who typically gets skin tags?
Skin Tags are not generally present at birth and may occur at
anytime, but more often they appear in adulthood. More common in
people in their 40's they can increase in numbers and outbreaks
up to age 60. Children may develop skin tags in the underarm and
neck areas.

them off, freeze them off, burn them off, you can even tie a
